Bed was fantastic (biggest we've ever had!). Room was comfortable and clean and our meal (the tasting menu) was excellent (easily Michelin star quality). Hotel is walking distance from the centre of ludlow so ideal for sight seeing.
The whole experience was very enjoyable and being a smaller hotel we received excellent service from all the staff - and the food was heavenly!
PleaThe food was wonderful as was the attention to detail and staff very friendlyse write at least 15 words
It was a very cold night (-12C), but the room remained lovely and warm
The restaurant was relatively cold, on a particularly cold night.
I enjoyed every aspect of the hotel from the car park to the very helpful staff. Rachel in the evening and at breakfast was great along with the wine waiter.
Personal touches, such as the home made biscuits & fresh milk for room made Tea and Coffee and friendly staff always willing to help.
the food and attentive starff and the relaxing feel the hotel gave.
Nicely appointed, standard rooms are good value, excellent breakfast and light lunch.
20 min walk to Ludlow could be inconvenient in poor weather.
Very helpful staff the comfy bed, the shower and breakfast.
Not enough tea and coffee and biscuits in the room.
Wonderful with a big welcome comfortable and stylish
It's great being able to take our dogs with us.
The 6 course tasting menu was wonderful and although expensive we chose to have the recommended wine to accompany each course which was both interesting and instructive. If you can afford it well worth doing!
Possibly because we booked online at a very reasonable rate we got a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the staff carpark and with only one chair. The room and bathroom were however comfortable and fine for a single night.
Beautifully appointed hotel; lovely room, very comfortable and stylish. Magnificent views.
Being woken at 5.45 am by the council wagon emptying the hotel bins.
Dinner was exceptional in the restaurant & breakfast equally as good although could of done with an extra member of staff at breakfast time.
Although restaurant excellent, lacked atmosphere - could of done with some background music.Surprised that there wasn't complimentary water in the rooms & quality biscuits for morning/afternoon tea. Also if you're going to provide a pencil in the room, make sure it's sharpened!
We heard about this hotel from friends who had stayed there a few weeks ago. They travel extensively and said that the tasting menu option for dinner was one of the best meals they had ever eaten. We were very impressed with the hotel, staff and food. There was no room on the Saturday night as we booked at short notice so we stayed on Sunday which was quieter and half price! The room was lovely, big bed, contemporary design, not fussy but everything you could need with views over the lovely Shropshire countryside. Breakfast was superb. Ludlow is gorgeous and the hotel in a quiet spot about 20 minutes walk from the town.
